A NEW INTERACTIVE MAP CREATED FOR GVRR PROJECT

A new on-line map which is contains a short information about the  World Heritage and MAB Biosphere Reserves Object available on gvrr.unesco.ru now. All the objects situated in countries of the Great Volga River Route.  You can easily access information with click on the required object.

JOIN UP FOR EDUCATION – THE MAIN POINT OF THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN RUSSIAN AND FINNISH STUDENTS

Within the week of EFA Global Action Week proclaimed by UNESCO the meeting between Russian and Finnish students took place in Moscow at school #1016 on 24 April, 2007.

These two schools being ASPnet have been cooperating together on the Great Volga River Route project for several years. Such kind of collaboration allows a full focus on the development of co-existence, friendship, understanding, and mutual respect.

YOUNG PEOPLE EXPLORE GREAT VOLGA RIVER ROUTE

The International Forum “Along the Great Volga River Route: Young people set sail to explore World Heritage, Sustainable Development and ICTs” took place aboard the cruise ship “Georgiy Chicherin” 16-20 May 2006. The Forum was organized within the framework of the UNESCO Cross-cutting Project “The Great Volga River Route - Uniting the Seas (Baltic, Black and Caspian Seas) in favour of World Heritage Education for Sustainable Development with support of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs)” (GVRR Project) by UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network (ASPnet), and the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, in collaboration with the UNESCO Moscow Office and ASPnet, Russian Federation.

This event took place in connection with the UN Decade on Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014) and aimed to enable dialogue among young people and teachers on the questions of protecting World Heritage and promoting Sustainable Development by using ICTs.
